Our Aim

We endeavor to help our local community as much as possible, providing our time, expertise and guidance for free on community projects.

Treuddyn Play Area Redevelopment

PlayParkThe play area in Treuddyn had become extremely tired with worn out equipment and little to excite the youngsters in the village. The village council wanted to revitalise the area to help provide a place where children of all ages and backgrounds could meet, have fun and experience a wide variety of play styles.

GSTS Director Gill Short undertook the role of project manager to oversee the whole construction process and managed a very challenging project superbly to completely change the way the park looks and is used by local residents.

Treuddyn and Communities Wireless Broadband Link

Wireless gifGSTS have been helping the village of Treuddyn to bring a wireless broadband service into the community and surrounding areas to provide broadband capability for "Notspot" areas and to present a faster alternative for low speed broadband users.

GSTS Director Gary Short has run the project and has worked hard with suppliers, the local community and the Welsh Assembly Government to make wireless broadband a reality for the whole community.

Treuddyn Community Website

Treuddyn Website PictureGSTS were happy to be involved in the development of the local village website. GSTS Director Gary Short with Paula Rodham (owner of developed the requirements which served as the basis for the tendor process for the website development.

GSTS Director Gill Short's contribution has been key in developing a community website for Treuddyn. Gill has worked very closely with the website developers to decide content layout and design as well as presenting the website to the wider community on launch. Gill is now responsible for updating the live community site ( on an ongoing basis and GSTS are happy to apportion part of her company time to this very worthy task.

Ysgol Parc-Y-Llan School Information Communication Technology (ICT) Donation

Donation to Parc-Y-Llan PictureGSTS were extremely happy to donate £200 to Ysgol Parc-Y-Llan to help provide equipment for ICT lessons within the school.The school used the money to help fund a projector for use with the Interactive Whiteboard system. Gary Short said "Seeing the excellent use the school makes of technology and how much it benefits the children it seemed appropriate for us to make to make a donation to help offset some of the cost of the equipment".
